Week 2: Planning

For my second Genius Hour project, I have decided to learn web development. My goal for the end of this project is to build a functional website of some sort that anyone can access on the web. For this week, I have created a simple plan on how I can achieve my goal by the end of the deadline.

  1. Understand how code works
  2. Choosing a coding language
  3. Finding an IDE / Code Editor
  4. Learning the code
  5. Make the website
  6. Create presentation

-Lock Picking

-Learn new language

-Coding (Web Development)

-Building a PC

Genius Hour Reflection

Just today me and Lucas presented our Genius Hour presentation on our horror game and I believe we did pretty good.

Although we went over the 5 minute time limit, I am glad that we got to present most of our stuff with decent quality. I am quite happy with the result we have but I hoped we could have made more.

The one thing I am not satisfied with is that I believe my slides were a little too general and I believe it would be better if I focused more on showing the models and maps I made and explain them in more detail.

These are my final thoughts and the end of this project.
